How do we reach Araku Valley?

Araku is about 115 km from Visakhapatnam, roughly 3.5 hours by road over the Ananthagiri ghats. Visakhapatnam is both the nearest airport (VTZ) and the nearest major railhead. Private cab transfer is included in the package.

Is the train to Araku worth taking?

Yes, and it is one of the genuine highlights. The Visakhapatnam–Kirandul passenger line climbs through roughly 58 tunnels and over more than 80 bridges, and the views through the Eastern Ghats are exceptional. Most couples take the train one way and the private cab the other, since the train is slow. Tickets are not included but we can arrange them, and they need booking well in advance.

When is the best time to visit Araku Valley?

October to March is the comfortable window, with pleasant days and cool evenings. The waterfalls at Katiki and Chaparai are at their best from October to February. Summer from April to June is warm and the falls run low, and the monsoon can make the ghat road slow going.

Is Araku Valley a good honeymoon destination?

It suits couples who want somewhere quiet and green without a long journey from the Andhra coast, and who like coffee country and hill scenery over beaches or nightlife. It is genuinely low-key. If you want luxury resorts and a wide choice of restaurants, Araku is not the right fit — accommodation options in the valley are limited, and we would rather tell you that upfront.

What should we know about Borra Caves before visiting?

The cave floor is wet and uneven with a lot of steps, so wear shoes with grip rather than sandals. Entry and camera charges are payable at the site. It can get crowded on weekends and holidays, so a weekday visit is considerably more pleasant.

Is honeymoon decoration and a candlelight dinner included?

Yes, both are included. Please mention at the time of booking that you are honeymooners so the property can prepare in advance — the choice of resorts in Araku is limited and these arrangements need notice.
