Do Indians need a visa for the Maldives?
No advance visa needed — the Maldives grants a free 30-day visa on arrival to all nationalities including Indian passport holders. Passport valid 6+ months, with a confirmed return ticket and proof of accommodation. Please reconfirm current requirements before travel.
What is the best time to visit the Maldives?
November to April is the dry season — calmest seas and best snorkelling visibility, and peak season. May to October is wetter with short heavy showers, fewer crowds and noticeably lower resort rates.
Beach villa or water villa — what's the difference?
A beach villa sits on the sand with direct beach access and is the more affordable option (included here). A water villa is built on stilts over the lagoon with steps into the water, and costs significantly more. Many couples split their stay between both.
Is the transfer by speedboat or seaplane?
This package includes return speedboat transfers (20–50 minutes, for nearby atolls). Far-atoll resorts need a seaplane or domestic flight plus speedboat, which costs extra. Seaplanes fly in daylight only, so your flight timings affect which resorts are practical.
Are meals and drinks included?
This is a half board package — daily breakfast and dinner. Lunches and all drinks (including bottled water) are not included. Full board and all-inclusive plans can be added and are often worth costing out, as resort food and drink prices are high.
Is the Maldives suitable for families with children?
