Do Indian passport holders need a visa for Japan?

Yes. Indian nationals require a tourist visa applied in advance through the Japanese Embassy or Consulate in India, or through authorized visa agencies. The Japan e-Visa system (JESTA) is currently not available for Indian passport holders. What is the best time to visit Japan?

March to May for cherry blossoms (peak late March-early April) and September to November for autumn foliage (peak November). Both are peak seasons - book 4-6 months ahead.

Is the Japan Rail Pass worth it?

Yes - a 7-day JR Pass covers the Tokyo-Hakone-Osaka-Kyoto-Nara Shinkansen sectors, paying for itself vs point-to-point tickets. We include the Pass and handle seat reservations.

How much cash should we carry in Japan?

Japan is largely cash-based outside major chains. Carry ¥30,000-¥50,000 per person. We provide Suica/Pasmo IC cards pre-loaded for metro/convenience stores.

Can we add Hiroshima/Miyajima or the Japan Alps?

Yes. Hiroshima + Miyajima is a day trip from Kyoto/Osaka. The Japan Alps needs 2 extra nights. Tell us and we rework the route.

Is Japan suitable for elderly travellers or families?

Yes - the Shinkansen is smooth, stations have elevators, major sights are accessible. We can swap the Hakone ropeway for a lakeside walk and add kid-friendly stops.
